My Hero Bear is the second instalment from
the Bear Haven Series by Emma Fisher.
Although I haven’t read the first book in this series I found this book
to be quite an easy read and never felt like I had missed so much that I didn’t
understand the important issues within the series.
I loved the chemistry between Rory and
Dylan. Though you only get to see a
small glimpse of their lives because of the length of the book, but it was so
beautifully written that it’s enough of a taste to keep you going.
The story is about Rory who is in trouble
and the only person she knows can save her is the very person she wishes she
never had to see again, which is where Dylan enters the story. Dylan on the other hand is such a mixed bag
of emotions that you can’t help falling in love with him. He wants only the best for his shifter
family and friends, and is always pushing people away thinking that he is no good
for them.
Dylan is an ex-military Special Forces has to try push through everything he has placed around himself in such
a dense defence mode, that it seems like no one will break through. Rory knows the only way she is going to survive
is to break through. She knows in her
heart that if she doesn’t succeed she will not only die by the hands of those
after her, but her heart will also wither because Dylan and her belong together.
