Naasir is the most feral of the powerful group of vampires and angels known as the Seven, his loyalty pledged to the Archangel Raphael. When rumors surface of a plot to murder the former Archangel of Persia, now lost in the Sleep of the Ancients, Naasir is dispatched to find him. For only he possesses the tracking skills required - those more common to predatory animals than to man.
Enlisted to accompany Naasir, Andromeda, a young angelic scholar with dangerous secrets is fascinated by his nature - at once playful and brilliant, sensual and brutal. As they race to find the Sleeping archangel before it's too late, Naasir will force her to question all she knows...and tempt her to walk into the magnificent, feral darkness of his world. But first they must survive an enemy vicious enough to shatter the greatest taboo of the angelic race and plunge the world into a screaming nightmare...

Nalini Singh never ever disappoints. I have read every book in the Guild Hunter series and i fall in love each time. Whether it is with Raphael, Elena, Dmitri, Honor, Jason Illium (my all time favorite of them all), Naasir, Andromeda and number of others that will take me to long to mention. There is a beauty to the way she tells a story. I feel as if i am flying off of the rooftop of the Archangel Headquarters with Raphael or running light the speed of light with Naasir. You get so into the reading you feel as if you are part of the story. You feel their pain and/or love with each sentence you read.
Nassir must save Andromeda, his feisty yet celibacy vowing mate. She is captured and brought before Lijuan because of the knowledge she possess. She is a devote scholar with the potential to bring any outcome to the war between Raphael and Lijuan. It all comes down to her knowledge of the whereabouts of Alexander. He is an ancient who has been in a state of sleep for centuries. Can they protect Alexander who is being tracked down for slauter by Lijuan? Will Lijuan get the information she seeks? Will Naasir rescue his mate?
This to me has got to be one of the best stories in this series. I recommend not only this book to others but the entire Guild Series. Happy Reading!
