Review: Breathe Into Me by Sara Fakes

How did my life get so broken? It’s a question Lacey St. James asks herself every day. Stuck raising her brother in a trailer park while she works a dead-end job at a grocery store, she has a stalker ex-boyfriend, a bad reputation, and no way out.
And then she meets Everett Ward, who changes her entire life.

Everett is an outsider who’s house-sitting a family mansion off the coast, and for reasons Lacey can’t understand, he’s completely transfixed by her. He Seems determind to show her that life can offer more than she’d ever hoped for, if only she believes in herself. She Desperately yearns to trust him, but happens when dhe finds out that everything he’s told her is a lie?

This was a well set up 2nd book. I loved how Fawkes included flashbacks and or memories from different characters throughout the story. It was a book that kept you on your toes the whole time. I really liked this book.

My favorite part in this book was not heated or happy, it was when Lacey St. James was pushed to the limit. All the drama with her family, Maron and Ashley. She went to the beach with Everett Ward. She planned to swim out as far as she could during the storm hoping to be washed away forever, but Everett grabbed her and kept her from going by confessing his lover for her.
