What is your personal connection to the military?
Rebecca Zanetti: All of the men in my family have served in the military, and I was actually born in Norfolk and have a cool Navy emblem on my birth certificate. Right now my dad’s Navy officer sword is in my office as a decoration, and I just love it.
Marilyn Pappano: My husband did his twenty in the Navy and retired. A year or two later, our son went to basic training at Fort Benning, Georgia. He became a paratrooper and did a tour in Iraq and another in Afghanistan. As a Navy spouse and an Army mother, I've been able to use all those emotions in my books, especially the Tallgrass series.
Jessica Scott: I’m an active duty army officer as well as the wife to a career NCO. Everything I am has been shaped by the army and more recently, by the war.
