1. What is one of your favorite Myths/legends to write about?
Currently, I’ve been really interested in necromancers and their power over the dead. In an upcoming series, Crimson Sins, I explore a more magical approach.
2. If you could live back in time, what time period would you choose and why?
The 80’s...I’ve got a weakness for their music.
3. Have you ever come across a song that might fit the theme of one of your books?
Closer by Nine Inch Nails (a song that any dark erotic romance author can relate to I’m sure, lol).
4. Do you remember what you felt when you had your first kiss?
Humiliated. LOL. I was in fifth grade, surrounded by a group of peers when my then “boyfriend” shoved his tongue into my mouth. I gagged and got made fun of for not participating.
5. What do you do when you think nobody is watching?
Close my eyes and drift into make believe land..
6. What was your favorite childhood book?
The Little House on the Prairie series, I devoured these during elementary school.
7. What is your favorite addition to chocolate?
Strawberries!
8. Besides your own, what is one of your favorite series to keep up with?
Well, the series is over now...but I’d say the Fever series by Karen Marie Moning.
9. What do you think you would be doing if you weren't writing?
Reading, maybe doing reviews.
10. Do you have any hobbies or activities you enjoy doing?
Aside from reading and writing? None. LOL.
11. What is something you do to de-stress?
Candy Crush Saga – it’s my downfall.
12.We all know about muses...what do you think inspires you to allow your creative juices flowing?
I’m inspired by photos, movies, books, music. The strangest things get me thinking and spinning, before I know it, I’ve got a new plot idea or a new scene for my current WIP.
10 Fun Facts (things the fans don't know)
I’m surrounded by men...husband, four boys (all under the age of eight), a boy dog AND a boy cat.
I’m tone deaf—which makes it especially bad that I sing my boys a made up version of Jingle Bell Rock every night (even during the non-winter months).
I’ve got three tattoos (inside of my left wrist, left ankle and lower back).
My favorite color is red.
My favorite song is, “Where Is Your Mind” by the Pixies. A close second is the Gary Jules version of “Mad World.”
My second toe is longer than my big toe—this according to legend means I’m descended from royalty ;-)
I’m SCUBA certified and enjoy diving for lobster (even though I’ve never actually caught any—those suckers are FAST!)
This one goes against the above fact, but the thing I HATE most in this world is seafood (eating and smelling it), lol.
At five-foot one, I’m the shortest member of my family (excluding my boys who will be taller than me by age ten).
My favorite alcoholic beverage is New Castle.

BLURB
As a half-breed vampire, Ella Grey’s life sucks. She does her best to pass the time killing demons and secretly admiring her Shadow Hunter partner, Micah. He’s hot, dangerous and knows it. He’d be just Ella’s type if he weren’t likely to kill her the moment she put a toe out of line.
A chance encounter with a succubus changes everything. From the second the succubus’s spell washes over them, Ella and Micah are helpless to keep their hands off one another. The sex, when it’s not leaving them on the verge of death, is earth shattering and for the first time in ages Ella is connected with someone on a level she’d feared lost forever. But a dangerous prophecy has been set into motion, and if Ella’s not careful it’ll pull her straight from Micah’s arms and into the deepest bowels of the underworld.

ReplyDeleteSCUBA was awesome (not the class) but getting out in the ocean is amazing. Thank you so much for coming out! <3 *Shorties rule!*
DeleteAmazing post. Thank you so much for sharing Madeline. I am so with you, necromancy is a great mythology. I will keep my eyes peeled for Crimson Sins. I love coffee, as long as it is sweet LOL! I don't drink a lot, but I do love Mike's Hard Lemonade and Guinness. Great post ladies, thank you so much again :)
