This
classic Cinderella-type story is a cute, fun historical romance that
keeps readers believing in fairy tales. Anthony Hurst is everything a
woman could ask for in a Prince Charming really a man who is set on
finding his dream woman no matter what the consequence. Isabella is a
little tame compared to the heroines I usually prefer but she is
lovely non-the-less and I enjoyed her interactions with Anthony. The
sweetness of their connection made for a very enjoyable read and the
pace of the story is perfect. Sophie Barnes kicks off a charming new
series with this book and I’m looking forward to reading the entire
series. I’m looking forward to reading other adventures happen at
the Kingsborough Ball. I’m a sucker for masquerades and the magic
and promise that always seem to come along with them.
