Once a Rake by Eileen Dreyer
This is the first book I’ve read of the Drake’s Rakes series but it won’t be the last. It was such a charming treat that I plan on reading all that came before and I can’t wait for those that are next in line. I love me a sexy Scot and Ian Ferguson is an exceptional hero from the moment he first appears on the page. He is a defender; he is gallant and brave even while wounded and struggling to survive. Not to say he’s also unbelievably charming. Sarah was a fabulous heroine and because she was so well developed it made her so easy to I loved this book and was captivated from the very beginning. I loved that their relationship seemed destined to go nowhere and yet without giving away the ending I also love me some HEA. This book had a little bit of everything for me; a Regency setting, strong and amiable characters, a great conflict, a sense of danger and a sweet love story. I’d highly recommend this to anyone who loves Regency romances.
