With many differences between them, an undeniable attraction swallows them hole...even though their current personal relationships. This causes the intertwining of their devastating secrets, powerful friends and nefarious enemies. Now not only are their lives at risk so is the powerful love they share together at risk also.

I have to say, you can never judge a book by its cover. The book in its self was very well written, but there were just a few things that made reading a tad bit difficult. First, there was a lot of jumping around between the main characters Eliah and Matilde and the rest of those involved with the story. Second, with the bouncing around came a lot of parts where I skipped because it was very drawn out and uninteresting (this is my personal thought). Lastly, the book was nearly 700 pages and with it only being book 1 it left me wanting to know what is going to happen (not going to say how it ends cause that'll give some of the story away), which is good but it also left me a little confused as well as hoping book 2 isn't nearly as long.
