Dark Nights is the latest instalment from Christine Feehan
in The Dark Series. This book comprises
two earlier books, Dark Descent and Dark Dream with added detail to each of the
stories.
The first part of Dark Nights is from her 11th
book in the series, Dark Descent.
After being critically injured while performing her duty as
a bodyguard Joie Sanders connects with injured Carpathian, Traian Trigovise.
They have several conversations while believing she is dreaming, but in fact
having an “out of body experience”.
Due to her experience while she is in hospital she is drawn
towards the mysterious Carpathian Mountains with her brother and sister and her
travel companions. What they find
beneath the mountain changes not only Joie and Traian life, but also that of
her brother and sisters too.
Discoveries, friendships and love are found amongst dire
circumstances and as they all race to get out of the mountain and back to safe
ground they must fight every inch of the way against deadly mage traps that had
been set years before and fight off the vampires that have given into
temptation and now only seek victims to drain.
In a cave of mystery and wonder deep in the Carpathian Mountains , bodyguard Joie Sanders encounters a most remarkable being. Proud, strong, immortal, he is called Traian an ageless hunter, locked in a life and death battle with enemy vampires” and he will be her salvation in a labyrinth protected by the ingenious traps of a mysterious ancient race. What awaits them in the darkness is not known, and each step could be their last as their destined path leads them toward a fiery passion that will illuminate the perilous dark night
She’s known him since she was fifteen. Every night, he is with her: his face, his voice. Tonight, Sara Marten will meet the man who is both angel and demon, salvation and temptation: Falcon—the Carpathian, the banished hero. Tonight, Sara will meet the dark-eyed destroyer destined to be her mate.

The second part of Dark Nights is from her 7th book in the
series, Dark Dream.
Sara Marten has dreamed of the same man every night she has
closed her eyes since she was 15. She
has also been hunted by another for just as long. One Carpathian to save her and for her save
him and one Vampire out to destroy both of them.
We also learn that Vladimir Dubrinsky, the Prince of the
Carpathians many years earlier sent warriors out all over the world many years
ago to kill any Carpathian turned vampire that exists.
Falcon is one such Carpathian sent out more than a
millennium ago and as he feels he is reaching the time he needs to take his
life before turning vampire he comes face to face with Sara, his life mate and
suddenly the world is in colour and worth living again.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading Dark Nights and the extra insight you gain from the extra pages that was added to this re issue. As usual, there is no disappointment when it comes to reading any of the instalments from The Dark Series. For more titles visit her website today.
