Misbegotten Gaines by Camryn Rhys

Misbegotten Gaines is the perfect way to spend a few hours away from reality.  Bringing together two very strong individuals, Kyle and Jamie, the story opens with instant heat.  Combine a protective family, white lies and a lot of chemistry and you have the start of a great book. A very easy book to read that has the hotness factor and keeps you intrigued to read more.  Im not usually the one for stories about food and the outback trail but i thoroughly enjoyed it.  This is the first story i have read by Camryn Rhys and look forward to reading more.

Struggling to find his place in the world after his divorce, Kyle is notified that he was successful with his job application a few months earlier as chef at the Misbegotten Gaines Ranch.  Not wanting to lie, but at the same time not seeing a reason to disclose he is now divorced Kyle starts his job as they are setting up for a singles trail ride. 

The moment he gets out of his car and greets Jamie, the younger sister of his newly appointed boss there is chemistry.  They both fight how their hearts feel.  Kyle, because everyone thinks he is married and he doesn’t want them to know his situation has changed.  Jamie, because even though she is a very level headed, smart and beautiful girl she has been charmed by the ex cook and thinks that if she can get her job back she will have her best friend back too.  Jamie thinks she has come up with the perfect way to fire the new sexy hot chef and gain her best friend back, but as we all know some plans are meant to back fire.

As the visitors step off the bus yet another surprise hits Kyle, his ex wife is joining them as a customer.  Kyle knows her scheming and uncaring heart hasn’t changed and tries to warn her against clutching at Jamie’s brother and to find someone not looking for commitment.  His ex wife has her own ideas though and unless Kyle wants everyone to know he isn’t married anymore he need not worry abut her intentions.
