This is the first book in the Infinity Series by Gayle Donnelly and Robin Mackenzie and let me reassure you all that these ladies sure know how to write a mesmerizing, sexy, dramatic & oh-so-hot novel!!! I was shocked to see this is the first book written by them because it is so well put together and everything falls into place perfectly, not to mention that these ladies sure know how to create hot characters! I literally could not put this book down from the moment I first picked it up! Mathias is the main male character, an alpha shifter and one of the Coteri species... And what a fine character he is.. *whew*  Mina is a human female, searching for her unknown father, after losing her mother unexpectedly. Mina is drawn to a small town in Germany after reading information that might lead her to find her father's identity..  Mathias is a general in the Coteri army, sent to watch over Mina by her father and he is to keep the entire existence of the Coteri species a secret from her until her father is able to meet her... Easier said then done when the Valta, mortal enemies of the Coteri, end up seeing Mina with Mathias and start digging into her identity.. They reached the lantern-lined street and continued toward her hotel. Her gaze shifted to the left to take him in. Damn, he really was beautiful. She imagined wrapping her hands in his long, thick hair and pulling his mouth to hers. She shivered. What she could do to him and what she wanted him to do to her were not what she should be thinking about right now, but she couldn’t help it. His skin was alabaster white and smooth as silk. With his dark green eyes and golden brown hair, she thought he would be at least a bit tanned, but his coloring definitely worked for him. He was sex on fire. Her gaze traveled down his profile to his arms. They looked solid and extremely capable of sweeping her off her feet and throwing her across her bed. And those hands … long fingers ending in what looked to be a two-hundred-dollar manicure.
She worked her gaze back up to his face to check out that mouth again. His lower lip was plump and totally kissable. She wanted to suck it into her mouth and nibble at it with her teeth. What would he taste like? She imagined vanilla mixed with sin. Totally lost in thought, she didn’t realize he also looked at her peripherally.
Damn. Busted.
Mina covered. “I like your coat.”
His mouth formed that sideways grin again. “Thank you.”
Yeah … totally busted.
They followed the cobblestone street through the empty market area to the long multicolored row houses for some of the businesses in town. Above each door was an elaborate brass filigree hanger with a sign hanging down identifying each business. They swung in the chilled wind, making it sound like a playground swing set during recess. Strands of little twinkling lights were strung on anything that was permanent for the holiday season. The entire scene looked like the inside of a snow globe.
Finally reaching the hotel, Mathias pulled open the heavy wooden door with one hand and swept the other in front of him, bowing before her. Mina stopped in the lobby to grab her shopping bags and headed toward the stairs to her room. She turned to thank Mathias for taking her back to the hotel and almost ran into the wall that was his chest. She caught herself before placing her hands on his well-defined body and righted herself just inches away from him.
“What are you doing?” Mina blurted out, her eyes widening.
Mathias lowered his head and stared into Mina’s surprised gaze. His lips lifted into a smile. “I am, of course, escorting you to your room.”
Hand shooting up to stop him in his tracks, Mina blurted, “Um … no. Thank you but, no. I’ll be fine.” She turned and started to move up the steep steps to her desperately desired room when she felt his hand snake around her lower arm.
“Ms. Roarke, I received very specific instructions from your father. I am not to leave your side until he returns.”
Mina looked down at his hand circled around her arm. She felt his heat through her coat. There was no way she could let him walk her to her room. She was too turned-on by him and it had been way too long since she’d had a man in her bed. “Look Matty…”
“Mathias.”
“I’m sorry. Mathias. It’s been an interesting day, to say the least. I’m in Germany, they lose my luggage, I meet up with a stranger in the middle of the Black Forest and find out my father wants to meet me. To be honest, right now, I just really want to take a shower and try to relax. I don’t need you to walk me to my room. It’s right up the stairs, and again, I appreciate your kindness but this is good night.”
Mina tried to turn again to go to her room. His fingers tightened slightly and he took the first step to loom over her. He inhaled slowly as if he was getting ready to deliver an unwanted speech. Mina narrowed her eyes and raised a hand to stop him from speaking. Instead of delving into the reasons he would not be leaving her side, he reached up with his free hand and grasped Mina’s raised palm gently. He released her arm and pressed her hand between both of his as if warming it. His green eyes darkened as Mina’s mouth fell open in shock. She stopped breathing, almost as if in expectation of what he was going to do. Very slowly and deliberately, he raised her hand to his mouth.
The blood in her veins stopped flowing as her knuckles came into contact with his warm lips. His mouth remained on her hand for what seemed like hours. Her fingers instinctively curled inward and she fought the urge not to place her other hand in his hair and hold on tight. Jesus, what this man could probably do with that mouth. It might have been a while since Mina had had sex, but the flutter in her stomach reminded her she was probably due for some real quick.
Slowly removing his mouth from her hand, he took a slight nip at her skin with his teeth. Mina’s nipples immediately tightened against her shirt at the sensation. Mathias lifted his thick lashes and she met his heated gaze. His eyes were warm and inviting. He didn’t let her hand go but simply started brushing the inside of her palm with the pad of his thumb. Mina was immediately aware of the wetness pooling between her legs at the mere idea of what could happen next. She felt chilled but about to melt at the same time. No words came to her. Only a feeling of guilt mixed with the tantalizing thought of letting him touch her more. She was way too turned-on to utter a word. With her mouth still open, she just stood there and stared. His eyes were almost hypnotic. Her mind was a complete blank. All she knew was she did not want this man to let go of her hand.
She imagined he continued up the steps and led her behind him, like a lamb to slaughter. Once reaching her room, he would push her up against the door and crush his mouth to hers, sending her into oblivion. He’d lace his hands into her hair and gently tug at the curls to force her closer. She’d arch against him to get the feel of his body against hers. Warm, hard and ready. His hands would move slowly down her back to grip her ass, lifting her against him. Wrapping her legs around his hips, she’d feel the hardness of his need for her and grind herself against it. She’d moan into his mouth that she wanted him desperately. He’d magically open the door, and within seconds, he’d be on top of her, burying her in the soft down comforter on top of the bed in her room. Gently moving his hands up her sides and underneath her sweater, he’d cup her breasts and move his thumbs expertly over her already hard nipples. Throwing back her head in ecstasy, she’d beg him to take her…
Wake up Mina!She snapped out of her sexual trance to realize she had been grasping his hand hard enough to dig her short nails into his skin.
He slowly straightened his stance. Once again, she looked up into his gorgeous face. Was he smiling? Her hand still molded in his, Mina remained frozen in place. “Good night then, Mina. Sleep well.”
Mina’s hand was slowly lowered to her side and his warm palms slipped away, leaving her wondering what the hell had just happened.
Very casually, Mathias turned and walked out of the hotel, closing the door firmly behind him.
Mina remained standing on the third step with her mouth open and her gaze glued to the closed front door of the hotel. “Holy shit.”......

As this is my first time reading a novel by author Patricia Watters, I was captivated right at page 1 of the book. The allure of the story was sensual at the beginning, then when Steffan met Joanna, sparks ignited instantly between them. It's not like they hit it off right a way, but the bantering and the "playing hard to get" from Joanna was too cute not to notice. I also adore the storyline and love the fact that Steffan is a hopeless romantic. So, anyone looking for a short, funny, sweet, and happily ever after, this book is for you. The humor is delightful, the chemistry is undeniably complicated but eventful. Give this book a try, you'll like it just as much as I did.

Fair Game by Patricia Briggs

In Fair Game, the third installment in the Alpha and Omega Series, Patricia Briggs continues the relationship between serious and quiet wolf Charles and his wife, Anna. Charles is the only known born werewolf, and son of the Marrock and also the werewolf punisher for his father, Bran. Anna is an Omega, a wolf that can calm the fiercest of tempers. Recently, werewolves outed themselves to the public and while they can be with the general public, they have a very violent edge and it doesn’t take much for them to lose themselves. Trying to keep the peace, Bran sends Charles out to kill those wolves who have stepped out of line. Which means Charles has killed many and it is starting to weigh him down.

Anna goes to Bran to talk with him about not having Charles go out to kill anymore, she knows something is going on with him but Bran claims Charles is the only one who could handle doing the killing...or so he thinks. After a talk with a fellow Wolf, Bran rethinks things and realizes Anna may be right, so he comes up with a somewhat temporary solution for him. There have been some murders in the Boston area involving werewolves and FBI are desperate to catch this serial killer, they have finally given into the fact they might need a werewolf to give them some insight. Bran sends Anna and Charles to Boston and when a Fae’s daughter becomes the next victim, Charles and Anna stick around until they can bring justice.

In this book we get great drama and conflict and we get to meet some new characters. The ending sets up something big and I'm super excited to read the next installment. I think out of the Alpha and Omega series, this one is my favorite.

With this enticing taste of Ms Klein’s writing I find myself intrigued by her newest book Dark Future.

Dark Destiny by Amanda Skye

Dark Destiny was an enjoyable read that mixed vampires in with an extra element of demons and the mystery Symbian race.   

The story starts with the strong and determined Amanda entering the night club owned by sexy vampire Damien. Dressed in black knee high four inch boots and short black skirt her allure is too much for Damien.  Trying not to notice as she nears two demons he turns away, but the vision of her long blonde hair gets the better of him as he races to drag her away from her would be kidnappers and changing her life forever.  

The adventure continues as Amanda searches for her missing sister that had brought her into Damien’s world to begin with.  Amanda’s blood calls to all vampires and demons as she is part Symbian.  Adopted as a baby she never knew her biological parents and it’s during the journey of finding her sister that her parents find her and she learns she is half Symbian and half Demon.

Fighting the rising lust between them, Amanda and Damien risk their own life to save the other.  Finally embracing her true self, Amanda is able to defeat her sisters’ kidnapper and finally be joined with Damien forever.

“So maybe if you tell me how it happened, I’ll answer your question about me.”
“Fair enough.” He set his cup back in the saucer. “Remember Chad Willoughby, my college roommate?”
Katie nodded.
“Chad’s brother was into the life big time. When Chad graduated from law school, he got Chad a guest pass at the private fetish club he belonged to and said he could bring a friend.” He looked down. “I’d…been to a club twice before when we were together. But never did any more than watch,” he added quickly. “That’s when I brought everything up to you. I was fascinated with the lifestyle and wanted us to try some of these things together.” His grin was rueful. “My idea didn’t work out so well, as I remember.”
“No. It didn’t.” If only she hadn’t reacted so badly. “So what happened at the club?
“It seemed I was finally going to experience the things I’d only fantasized about. Chad’s brother arranged for each of us to have a sub for the evening along with a trained instructor.” He paused to sip more coffee.
“And?” she prompted.
“To be blunt about it, I discovered a desire for it I didn’t even know I had. It was the most explosive night I’d ever had sexually. And that’s taking nothing away from what you and I had together.”
“But you wanted more.” Oh, she was sure of that. She felt a trap opening, yawning like a big hole before her. “On a regular basis.”
“I did. A lot more. And more often. I for sure couldn’t look for action anywhere around the Hill Country. You know how conservative the ranching community is. Not even my brothers know about my…preferences.”
Katie gave him a quizzical look. “So what did you do?”
“Joined the club in Tampa Chad’s brother took us to. They have an arrangement for guest privileges in other clubs around the country. I…took a lot of business trips.” He stopped to take another swallow of coffee.
“Your brothers didn’t ask questions?”
He shook his head. “I timed my trips to coincide with legitimate business. Conventions. Meetings. Whatever.” His eyes raked over her face possessively. “But here’s the plain truth. I really wanted you, Katie. I wanted it all. You and the life.”
“Which is what led to the scene in our hotel room.” When she so childishly ran away. It wasn’t just the things themselves he was proposing. It was the total implication, the fear that she could lose herself in him completely. A very dangerous edge.
He grinned. “Yeah. That was some scene. I still remember how you looked, spread out…”
“Stop.” She held up her hand. “That’s not what I meant. Can we stick to the conversation at hand?”
The look he gave her nearly incinerated her dress. “Afraid to talk about it, sugar?”

That however did not limit my enjoyment of the fantastic tale that Ms Knight has woven for them. Nineva and Kel's story was definitely sexy with a lot of action both in the bedroom and out. If you have a love for Romance with a mystical and magical twist, then this is just the series for you.

Here is my take on this book....I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!! I can't explain how great the writing in this story is. The way Ms. Folsom describes everything just seems so real. The fights, the feelings and the passion. You know how sometimes you read books and the writing just makes you go "Is that even possible?" or "wait, what? I don't get it". You definitely do not get that with this book. When reading the steamy scenes, she makes it so your not embarrassed about what your reading, no crude descriptions. No shocking words that make your eyes goes wide and look around hoping no one noticed. Just perfect. I can not wait til the next Cloak Warriors installment comes out!! Everyone needs to put this in their Read Now list.

Since the moment I read the first Lord of The Underworld book, I was dying to read them all. They immediately became my favorite series. I couldn't wait to read Paris's story, then I realized he hadn't had a book yet. So you can imagine how excited I must have been when I found out Gena was finally writing his story! The day the book came out, I was at the store going through the shelves and peeking in the boxes as they were being put away. Finally! I had The Darkest Seduction in my hands! I did the happy dance in the middle of the aisle...and no, I didn't care who was watching me!

It took me less than 2 days to read the book. It was a little slow at first for me, but It was nice that it wasn't just all thrown together. It made you want to continue reading to see what was going to happen. Was Paris going to ever find Sienna? Would he finally be able to see her? Would she ever be free?......

We were introduced to some new characters in the book as well, the *cough* annoying Lord of Narcissism and three Lords that were held captive in the castle. We saw a lot more of Zacharel, which I'm thinking may be a set up to the new Angels of the Dark series. We got to see a little of Galen and Legion's side story, got the set-up on Kane's story with the female Horseman and got a few teasers on the immortal, William The Ever-Randy, plus a few other shocking things I can't wait to read about in future stories!

All in all the book was great and a must have on every bookshelves. Absolutely worth the read, especially if you love GS and plan to read her other LOTU books.

A Perfect Blood by Kim Harrison

    Rachel Morgan is back and kicking as much bad guy ass as ever. But in this, the tenth book of The Hollows series, she's facing a foe she had never thought to be concerned with but might just be the most monstrous of them all. Rachel, along with Ivy and Jenks, is called out to investigate a series of heinous mutilations and murders. The evidence left by the actual killers is  pointing a little too directly at her new demon status. In order to stay out of jail, not to mention alive, she'll have to buddy up to the organization that got her whole new wacky life rolling, the IS. As always, Ivy and Jenks have her back but for the first time the help she really needs is coming from the most unlikely place, that murdering businessman of a sexy elf, Trent. Rachel is not enthusiastic about needing Trent's help, especially when all she can think about when she looks at him is that way too passionate kiss they shared as he tried to reunite her soul and body after her very near death experience. With every corner of her life changing from her friendships with Ivy and Jenks to her new...whatever with Trent, it's not just the murderers she needs to find but perhaps a new Rachel as well.

   A Perfect Blood may just be my favorite of the series so far. It's as action packed as ever and Rachel is just as bad ass as she's always been but if I had to choose a word to describe this book it would be evolution. She shows more depth and maturity when trying to accept who and what she is. Her friendships are changing and she has to accept that those changes are for the best. Then there's Trent. Rachel and Trent's relationship has been a constant roller coaster throughout the series and I don't see that stopping anytime soon. I can't wait to see what Kim Harrison has in store for Rachel in the next book!!
